From Marc Chagall's famous "Dead Souls" suite of etchings, executed and printed in the 1920's for Ambroise Vollard. However, due to Vollard's untimely death and the chaos of the War, they were not released until Teriade finally published them in 1948. The total edition was 368; this impression was printed on wove paper. Note: Chagall did not sign any impressions by hand.
