Pablo Picasso "Couverture pour 'Dessins d'un demi-siecle'"
Medium: original lithograph in four colors. Catalogue reference: Bloch 792. This is an unpublished state impression. Executed by Picasso in 1956 especially for the cover of the Berggruen catalogue of that same year, this impression has the center indentation where it would have been folded, but the sheet was never trimmed, glued or folded. Size: 8 3/4 x 9 3/4 inches (slightly wider than the final published state). Signed in the plate (not by hand).
Provenance: Ferdinand Roten Galleries, Baltimore. The original Ferdinand Roten label has been conserved and is included with the sale.
